Registration is open for UURAF (University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum) 2010. Last year, nearly 600 undergraduate students shared their scholarship and creative works. Detailed information can be found at registration deadline is Friday, February 26 at 11:59 PM. The event will be held on Friday, April 16 from 9 AM -5 PM in the MSU Union. Students must register by the deadline to participate in this event. Email or call the undergraduate research office at 517.884.1559 with questions.

Programs times have been assigned for UURAF 2010, which will be held on Friday, April 16 in the MSU Union. To find out your program time, visit Type in your last name and your program time will appear. If you have a conflict with your assigned program time, please contact the Undergraduate Research Office at 517-884-1559 or, and we will try to make a change. If you have not received your information, then we did not received your registration.  Please contact the Undergraduate Research Office to discuss options.

Congratulations to the 2010 UURAF Award Winners and thank you to everyone who participated in UURAF this year.   Approximately 535 students from 14 MSU colleges participated in this year’s forum. Students presented 396 different programs: 123 oral presentations, 271 poster presentations, and 2 performance presentations. UURAF 2010 was a very successful event!

Stop by to make your free ice cream sundae (using MSU Dairy Store ice cream) and to meet student researchers from MSU and from other campuses. Students interested in presenting at the 2011 National Conference on Undergraduate Research are invited to submit abstracts of their research projects to the review committee. The conference will be held March 31–April 2 in Ithaca, New York, on the host campus of Ithaca College. The window for submitting abstracts is Oct. 4–Nov. 19, 2010.

The Gerstacker Entrepreneurial Grant Program is an opportunity for MSU undergraduate students pursuing a degree in any of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) colleges (i.e., Agriculture and Natural Resources, Engineering, Lyman Briggs, or Natural Science) to compete for funding to commercialize an original research concept with entrepreneurial potential.
