Aliya serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Provost’s Office at Michigan State University and works with programming for undergraduate research. She is in her third year in the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education Doctoral program at MSU. Aliya holds a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Black World Studies from Miami University in Ohio. Before coming to MSU, she served as the Associate Director of Admission and Coordinator of Multicultural Recruitment at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. During her time there, Aliya worked with student groups and served on a variety of university committees and task forces dedicated to inclusion and healthy campus climates for faculty, staff and students.
