My favorite part of the research is being able to watch and observe how children react to the video game when they're playing it. It’s very interesting to see the way they look at the screen and what objects they look at to make their decisions. It is important to explore topics you are interested in, otherwise research won't be enjoyable. It is also important to keep striving to accomplish what you want, as there are often many setbacks, but results can be very rewarding.

Research Topic: Package Labeling Graduation Year: 2018

Brunk’s research focuses on front of package labeling and its ability to influence healthy selection of foods among children ages 6-10. He used a video game titled “Munchy”, which displayed two packages side-by-side, to better understand children’s package selections. Brunk realized the necessity of pursuing a research project he found compelling, "it is important to explore topics you are interested in, otherwise research won't be enjoyable.
