Research Topic: Injection Parameters for Analysis of Ignitable Liquids Graduation Year: 2020

Colpoy’s poster focuses on her investigation into ideal injection parameters for gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) analysis of ignitable liquids, which has applications to a larger project to refine a mathematical model for the evaporation of gasoline. This project could help standardize the way crime labs across the country analyze fire debris sample from potential crime scenes to prevent inconsistency in the forensics field's interpretation of evidence in the lab and courtroom.
