- For many undergraduate researchers, publishing their findings in a scholarly journal serves as the capstone for their research experience.
PUBLISHING YOUR WORK
Publishing in journals and presenting at conferences are common ways that researchers share their findings with the academic community. Undergraduate researchers interested in publishing an article in a scholarly journal are encouraged to consult with their faculty advisor. The literary and research journals listed below showcase undergraduate research. Each title is hyperlinked to the journal's website. Your advisor may recommend that you consider submitting your manuscript elsewhere.
Academic writing is different from writing for non-scholarly audiences. MSU's Writing Center is a fantastic resource. Many undergraduate researchers also use reference works like The Bedford Handbook, The Craft of Research, and They Say, I Say.
Have you had an article or creative writing accepted for publication? Be sure to let us know and we'll profile your accomplishment here on the Undergraduate Research website.
