2025 Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences (Mid-SURE)
The 15th annual Mid-SURE will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the STEM Teaching and Learning Facility and online at Symposium by ForagerOne. Mid-SURE 2025 will be a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual poster presentations. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Mid-SURE provides an opportunity for students involved in research and creative activities at Michigan State and other institutions in Michigan to share their work with their peers and the MSU community.

The 2025 Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences will be held on July 23 at the STEM Teaching & Learning Facility and Online
Save a presentation slot during Priority Registration! Category and modality choices are limited after Priority Registration closes. Late Registration begins Thursday, June 19.
Abstracts/Proposals do not need to be complete at the time of registration. Final edits to Mid-SURE registrations are due Thursday, July 10 at 11:59 PM.
Visitors, mentors, family, and friends are welcome to attend the forum, and registration is not required.
Eligible Presenters:
- Current MSU undergraduates
- MSU December 2024 and May 2025 graduates
- Visiting undergraduate students participating in summer research programs
- Undergraduate researchers from other Michigan institutions
- High School students participating in MSU sponsored research programs
Types of research and creative activity accepted:
- Preliminary
- In Progress
- Completed Projects
- Course-based Research
- Internship/REU
- Education Abroad
- Community-based Participatory Research
- Work conducted during any semester (fall, spring, summer) or over multiple semesters
- Presented at other venues (college/department forums, off-campus conferences, etc.)
- Any other types that we missed on this list!
