2021 Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences

The 11th annual Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences (Mid-SURE) will be held July 28, 2021.

Mid-SURE 2021 will be a virtual event consisting of pre-recorded poster presentations. There will be dedicated times to chat with presenters about their work during the event. Mid-SURE will be hosted on Symposium by ForagerOne. More details to come.

Students must register to present at Mid-SURE. Registration will be accepted June 1 - 21 in My Spartan Story.  Registered student presenters will submit an unlisted YouTube video (2 - 5 minutes) and a PDF of their poster by July 25. Only those presentations received by the deadline will be shared during the virtual symposium. (Presentation submission link coming soon.) MSU students please note: you are required to complete Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training prior to presenting at Mid-SURE.

MSU undergraduate researchers, visiting students participating in MSU summer research programs, and students from regional institutions are eligible to present at the Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences (Mid-SURE). Current MSU students and May 2021 graduates are also eligible to present at Mid-SURE. Incoming MSU students (first year or transfer) who complete New Student Orientation (NSO) before July 28th may also participate. This event provides an opportunity for students involved in research and creative activities at Michigan State and select institutions to share their work with their peers, faculty, and external audiences.
